| Road Maintenance Fleet Body |
Developed for a large fleet of vehicles, this body represents how much customization Raytel Equipment can perform. Many components of these units were custom designed, engineered, and manufactured by Knapheide. Once imported, the bodies were installed and further upgraded.
- Bodies were created in 9' to 12' lengths to accommodate being mounted on different sized fleet trucks. Trucks ranged in GVW from 10,000 lbs. to 19,000 lbs.
- Sides were custom engineered to contain special anchor points for cargo securement systems.
- Headache racks were reinforced and customized to allow for toolbox anchoring and safety signage.
- Underbody Knapheide toolboxes created durable, highly secure storage for tools, equipment, and extra batteries. Toolboxes containing batteries were modified and vented to improve safety.
- Rear towing skirt accommodated pintle hitch for pulling trailers.
- Slide out steps provided operators with easy access to the deck.
- Electrical systems were installed to provide control to safety lighting and signage. Special inverters were installed to allow crews to run power tools without the need for a separate generator.
