| Survey Deck |
Developed for a survey fleet, this deck combines equipment storage with a safe method for transporting two ATVs. The decks were mounted on 1-ton cab-and-chassis trucks. By using a deck, the vehicles were more stable than trucks that had ATV platforms mounted on top of the box. This was especially important in the rough terrain that survey vehicles encounter.
- A specialized 8' wide toolbox behind the cab gave operators space to store long objects. Side access doors allowed them to access the toolbox from the ground.
- Underbody thin-gauge steel toolboxes provided storage for spare parts and cargo straps.
- A special storage space was created between the deck and chassis to store 8' ATV ramps. These long ramps made it simple to drive ATVs onto the deck.
- Safety lighting was installed to increase visibility while on site and help with loading ATVs at night.
